SSI Deep Diver

Learn to dive deeper safely with Whitsunday Dive Adventures.

When you dive below 18 metres/60 feet, there are special safety considerations. If you’re ready to expand your boundaries, a PADI Instructor will help you gain the skills and confidence to explore to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet.

In your SSI deep diving course you’ll learn how to safely plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40m.

Course duration is 2 days with Theory being done ahead of time online.

What You will Learn:

• How to safely plan and conduct your dives between 18 and 40m
• How to manage your gas supply on deep dives
• Identify and deal with narcosis
• Recognize your personal limits
• Have fun swimming around and exploring

• Theory and Open Water dives led by an experienced SSI Pro.

• Dive time approx. 35-45 minutes (might vary depending on your air consumption)

Prerequisites:

• SSI Open Water certified (or equivalent)
• You must be at least 15 years old.
• Complete a basic medical questionnaire to determine if you are fit to dive.

Add-ons:

• Bring a non-diving friend or Family member onboard for a snorkel (available as addon on check-out)
• Lunch available as extra – can cater to all dietary requirements!
