All fares are inclusive of Marine Park fees and GST. Sites are weather and tide permitting. Dive / Snorkel sites are weather and tide permitting. Whitsunday Dive Adventures reserves the right to arrange alternate itinerary where necessary. Please note departure times may sometimes be weather and tide dependent. Please reconfirm your booking at least 48 hours prior.
Whitsunday Dive Adventures may use photographs of our clients in promotional material, including but not limited to social media. If you do not consent, please advise Whitsunday Dive Adventures before your trip.
Liability:
Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of the clients which are beyond our control. Tours are not suitable for guests with pre-existing back, neck, or hip injuries or who are pregnant.
Minimum age 6years. A signed release will be required from all participants on departure. We recommend you take out travel insurance.
Fitness and Health:
Although good physical health and a positive attitude are essential, you do not need any prior experience to partake in a Whitsunday Dive Adventure.
For diving, every diver is required to complete a medical questionnaire and satisfy age and medical requirements. We make it clear divers cannot fly for 24 hours after diving and the company accepts no liability for medical conditions experienced as a result of flying after diving.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
General Policy
All cancellations must be advised in writing to diving@whitsundaydiveadventures.com. The following conditions apply based on the product or service booked:
Dive Courses
Entitled to a Refund:
- If you cancel up to 21 days prior to the course start date, you will receive a refund of the course fee, minus the booking fee, credit card surcharge, and the PADI Online Theory ($275), which is non-refundable once assigned to your name.
- If you fail the required dive medical, you will receive a refund of the course fee, less the non-refundable booking fee, credit card surcharge, and PADI Online Theory. However, it is your responsibility to complete the dive medical well in advance of your course start date. Waiting until the last minute (e.g., the day before) is not acceptable, as failure to obtain medical clearance due to late scheduling will not be grounds for a refund.
Not Entitled to a Refund:
- If you cancel within 21 days of the booked course.
- If the course was purchased at a discount or special offer.
- If you cancel once the course has commenced.
- If you answer “yes” to any question on our medical questionnaire on the morning of your course, any resulting change of dates, delays, or inability to continue the course will be charged as per the price list.
- Transfer/Change of Course Dates:
Change of course dates:
- If you change course dates within 21 days of the course commencement date, a $299.00 fee will apply.
- Once the course has started, if you request to complete the remainder on different dates, a $349.00 fee will apply.
- Course dives postponed due to weather are non-refundable; alternate dates will be provided, or a store credit will be issued.
- Completion Deadline:
All SSI/PADI courses must be completed within 12 months of the commencement date.
Dive Tours
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure will receive a refund, minus the non-refundable booking fee and credit card surcharge.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure will not be refunded. If you wish to reschedule, you will need to make a new booking at full price.
Medical Questionnaire Requirement:
If a guest fails the required medical questionnaire on the morning of the tour (answers “YES” to any question), they will not be allowed to dive, and the tour will NOT be refunded.
The medical questionnaire is available on our website and must be reviewed before booking to ensure you meet the medical requirements.
Private Charters
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Cancellations made more than 21 days before departure will receive a refund, minus the non-refundable booking fee and credit card surcharge.
Cancellations made between 14 and 20 days before departure will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 14 days of departure are non-refundable.
Rescheduling within 14 days is treated as a cancellation. If you wish to reschedule, you will need to make a new booking at full price.
Weather-Related Cancellations
Company-Initiated Cancellations:
If we cancel a tour due to unsafe weather conditions, you will be offered either:
- An alternative travel date, or
- A refund, minus the non-refundable booking fee and credit card surcharge.
Payment Conditions:
Dive Courses
For bookings more than 21 days before the course start date:
A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 21 days before the course start date.
For bookings within 21 days of the course start date:
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Dive Tours (2-Tank Dive Tour/Discover Scuba Diving Day Tour)
For bookings more than 7 days before the tour date:
A 40% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance will be automatically charged 48 hours before the tour.
Private Charters
For bookings more than 14 days before the departure date:
A 40% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before departure.
Credit Card Surcharge
Bookings made with a credit card incur a non-refundable 1.5% surcharge.
Seasickness and equalization:
If you find yourself dealing with seasickness or being unable to equalize, our crew will look after you and ensure you are comfortable and safe. However, as this is not something in our control we will not issue any rebooking’s or refunds for inability to equalize or being seasick and not completing dives.
We suggest you consider seasickness tablets to minimize the risk of seasickness affecting your trip.
We will attempt where possible to help you equalize as we descend however we are responsible for the safety of all members of our groups therefore if we cannot in sufficient time and with the safety of the other divers help you descend we will take you back to the surface and you will be unable to complete that dive, we will however where possible take you back in on the second dive and help you try again.
Travel Insurance:
We recommend you purchase travel insurance at the time of booking any travel. Any cancellations etc may be claimed via your insurance.
